All that Teresa Heinz Kerry said and I quote, "I am not sure if Laura Bush has even had a real job." She is just stating that she's not sure or not if she's been actually out in the work force...she's not bashing her for being a lazy bitch...she was just curious or not if she ever worked. Like the article in USA Today said...she was NOT SURE.

Why is it I only get huge responses whenever I talk about politics and 0 when I talk about life and what glorious events it has to offer?

As I was exiting school today, I noticed that I had a flat tire...I thought to myself, "No big deal, I can be on the road in 20 minutes." Boy was I wrong.... So I attached the jack to my car and lifted it, and as I went to take the lugnuts off of the wheel, I realized that they had rusted on. Being the petite flower that I am, I was unable to make the lugnuts budge. Many other teachers saw me going at this tire (which I'm sure looked humorous) but not one person offered to help. When i...

How many of your children are being bombarded with standardized test after standardized test? To me, it seems like for every grade level, there is some sort of standardized test that corosponds with it. The No Child Left Behind Act was passed in congress to aid in the reformation of public schools by setting standards in all of the core subjects, which students should be reaching by each grade level. To prove that the students are understanding the material, they are given a national stand...

1) First, Let's state the obvious. This big cock waving contest entitled the "war on terror" featuring the US's personal whipping boy England. No one has yet to answer (W included) why exactly we are in Iraq and not hunting the terrorists in Afghanistan. WHAT DOES IRAQ HAVE TO DO WITH ANY OF THIS?!?!?! 2) He's all for the dumbing down of society. Instead of teachers striving to teach their students to obtain long term knowledge, all teachers are now required to teach students how to...

People bitch that Kerry "flip flops". In an ever-changing world, one has to change their thoughts on subject matter or there would be no progression. If people did not change their opinions about weighty issues, then this world would be a drastically different place. Think about women's issues and African American's rights.... Republicans make me think of Elmer Fudd walking around with his musket..... Bush lied to the American people. Thousands have died. Are we really better of...

A day in my life... The alarm rings at 6 a.m. "Dammit," I curse to myself. "I don't want to go to school." I feel like I'm taken back to the 6th grade begging my mother to let me stay home so I didn't have to deal with the bullshit of getting picked on for being short, fat, full of zits..if you know anything about middle schoolers the list goes on and on, but I am no longer 11. Now I'm 23. I am the one on the other side. Yep. The one instructing the little shits how to be more edumac...

Okay...so I got out of the shower this morning and noticed the saddest thing ever on the back of my right thigh. I have a cellulite dimple!! aHHH!! I'm only 23 how in the hell is this happening to me? I'm 5`2 and weigh about 125...so i'm not exactly a waif, but i'm definatley not overweight, either, so I have no idea where this is coming from. My roomate says once you hit your early mid twenties funny things start happening like things start to sag and droop. So ladies, I need your help.....

So today marks my big leap into the professional world! I must say things went rather smoothly. The alarm went of @ 6...and as expected I wanted to throw it across the room. I got ready and made it there at 7:45 on the dot. All of the kids seemed very receptive of me, although it was the first day...so you never know. The funniest thing was monitoring the lunch and recess period! I get to use this megaphone with a whistle built into it....it's quite humorous. In my student teaching...

As I mentioned in a few previous blogs, my fiance is now in NY getting his Doctorate, while for three months I will be here in Ohio student teaching, and finishing up my two bachelors degrees. I know it's only been one day, but I feel lost. We've been in eachother's hip pockets for the past three years..for the most part...sometimes he would go on tour with the Tommy Dorsey ORchestra for a few weeks, but it seemed like those weeks flew by. Right now, although we are closer than we've ever ...
