Today is the one year anniversary of my marriage to Hardin. Boy does time fly! I couldn't ask for a better person to spend my life with. Since the moment we met back in 2001, I knew he was special. He did one thing that no one else had ever done before. He taught me how to laugh. Humility is very important in life. Being able to laugh at yourself, and not others (well, sometimes at others...j/k), is a great lesson to be learned. You can never take yourself too seriously. Before I...

In case you did not know, supermodel Tyra Banks now hosts a talk show. Yesterday I was watcing and what was said really astounded me. I think it may have been a life changing experience....all from watching a silly talk show. Women. We are the nurturers of the universe. We can be creaters, lovers, workers, fighters, sexy, crazy, and so on and so forth all in the blink of an eye. Thanks to our founding foremothers, we have the power to do just about anything to make this world a bette...

Guess what, JU...Michael asked Chrissy to marry him!! I couldn't be happier for two more people! Although I've never met Michael, it sounds like he's a great guy. I don't want to blab the story since she'll more than likely blog about it, but it's definately a tear jerker! Chrissy--May your engagement be just the start of wonderful times to come. Michael sounds wonderful and I know you guys are meant for each other. The preperations for a wedding may cause a few fights and tears, but ...

So, it worked! As I said, I was able to find Katie on classmates. I dropped her a quick line and she responded. After beating the system with creative ways of exchanging e mails with out having to pay $15.00, we were able to get back in touch with eachother. One would think that not talking to someone for over 6 years would be kind of awkward, but not for us. We basically picked up right where we left off. It was like we were still chatty little high school girls. We caught up on go...

Last night I had a bizzare dream about getting in contact with a clique I used to run around with in junior high. We were like the 4 amigos. Thinking about those three other girls brought back crazy memories of adventures at the mall and going boy crazy over guys who didn't really know that we existed. Although you could not say one name without thinking of all of us, we had our seperate identities: Katie W. was the girly girl, Michelle was the tomboy, Katie H. was the smart one, and I wa...

Tomorrow Hardin and I will be married for 6 months. We were thinking of doing a couple things to celebrate this momentous occasion (it's momentous because we live in a little box and we haven't killed eachother yet! haha). Here are our ideas 1) Getting away to Western PA for a night of dinner and hotel pool swimming. On Sunday during our drive back we would go outlet shopping. or... 2) Get Bikes for each other so we can go exploring the island and get some exercise out of it...

Life can be full of changes. Some changes can be for the better, others for the worse. Changes are brought on by ones self. No matter what one might think, one cannot change a person. I believe that this is the number one reason that relationships fail. So many think that they can change a person. First off, if you care for someone, why change them? Shouldn't you love someone for who they are, not for what you think they can become? I see this more often in females than males. The...

Right now I am alone. For the next two weeks I will be alone. If I died, no one would realize it for another two weeks. (picture that stench!) Hardin is on the way to Portugal via cruise ship with the Dorsey Orchestra. He will be lucky to e mail me just a few times because it's so expensive. From what he's said so far, it sounds like he's having the time of his life. He is so lucky to be blessed with such a great talent. I truly am happy for him. However, I am not happy... ...

I find it so interesting that so many of us have different tastes when it comes to dating. I thought it would be fun to share what kind of people everyone is attracted to. As for build I like guys that are taller than me (which isn't hard since I'm 5`2), and on the meaty side (not fat but meaty--I like to feel protected). As for personality, he has to make me laugh. He has to be self assured and spontaneous. Also romantic. Not a cookie cutter type at all! I just described Hard...

I found out today that one of my dear friends from Undergrad was diagnosed with Leukemia. If anyone can beat it, it's him. He has such a genuine heart and spirit. Due to privacy I didn't post his name. I am in shock and terribly saddened. Say a prayer for my friend.

Yep, you've read it correctly. Hardin will be in Ohio until this Friday, leaving me here on the Island 500 miles away. I should stop whinning, but hey, we're newlyweds and I just want his face to be the first one I see when I get off work, not the face of the shithole neighbor. If I can handle four months, four days should be a piece of cake, right?!
