President Bush is busy throwing money away on the search for "weapons of mass destruction," while the avain flu threatens to wipe out the US. And to think, all of that money being spent on keeping friends and family way for something that has been labled as not being true could have been spent on a vaccine...... How can there be a war on a concept, anyway? Up yours, W.

9-11. I remember the exact moment when I heard what happened. I was in the music library listening to Hermann Baugmann's rendition of Morceau de Concert when my friend Matt came through the doors saying, "Oh MY GOD Alison! The world trade centers!! Did you hear?" I took off my headphones and said, "Why are you so hysterical? What happened??" "You must know, you're wearing an I heart NY shirt!!" He observantly said. "Say what?" I questioned. "Planes flew into the World ...

As I was doing my morning crunches, a newsbrief stated that there had been a helicopter crash in Iraq this morning and seventeen Americans are missing. Last night I decided to give W a clean slate and hoped he would be able to shed some light on our global situation. Once again, the bulb proved to be rather dim. I found his speech to be more of the same old cock waving jargon. My heart goes out to the friends and families of our troops. Bring our men and women home. We have no busi...

I would like to dedicate this article to the victims of the Oklahoma City bombing. God bless the 168 victims and their families. 18 of those 168 were children. I remember the exact moment that it happened. I was in the eighth grade and my Mother and I were both home sick with pnemonia. Where were you when it happened?

So now it's my turn to post on Teri Schiavo. I am undecided in what should be done. On one hand, this poor woman is suffering and merely not living life, but existing in a tiny room. In some ways I think it would be best if the feeding tube was not reinserted. I have researched this story and it does not sound like she will suffer from starvation, but slip into a coma. This to me sounds like a peaceful way to go. On the other hand, I am not so sure her husband should be the one making...

As most know, Scott Peterson has been sentenced to death. I'm not sure if I agree with the sentence. On one hand, yes what he did was down right one of the most awful things I've ever heard of and he should be punished to death, but wouldn't rotting away in prision be a worse sentence? He would have had his whole life to sit there and think about the henious crimes he committed. What do y'all think?

How many of your children are being bombarded with standardized test after standardized test? To me, it seems like for every grade level, there is some sort of standardized test that corosponds with it. The No Child Left Behind Act was passed in congress to aid in the reformation of public schools by setting standards in all of the core subjects, which students should be reaching by each grade level. To prove that the students are understanding the material, they are given a national stand...
