As I have mentioned I teach elementary music for an at risk school district on Long Island. My duties involve grades 1-2 and special ed classes in 3 different buildings. 14 periods out of 36 a week end up being a special learning environment. I teach students from all different scopes. This includes speech and hearing problems, multiple learning disabilities, emotionally disturbed children, and my personal fave- the autisim spectrum. Mondays tend to be one hell o...
As I woke up this morning, I had this odd gut sensation that I needed to pluck my eyebrows right then and there. I got up, walked to the bathroom, found the tweezers, and began plucking away. As many women (and some men) know, this is not a pleasurable experience. It was like I couldn't even tell I was sitting there and torturing myself. Maybe I've developed some sort of eyebrow plucking tollerance. Maybe the planets were alligned right then and there so that this would make the process ...

**Inspired by Shovelheat** Okay JU...I want to know. What Christmas is your most memorable Christmas? Last year would have to be mine. Hardin and I spent the day in NYC. We stopped at a bar and had bailey's and hot cocoa. We then went to Ground Zero and over the Brooklyn Bridge. On the way home it started to snow. The second we got home we started to prepare Christmas Dinner. We had steak, mashed potatoes, a salad, and ice cream. It was special because it was our first Chris...

Happy Birthday to a fellow user's daughter....I'm not going to reveal who because I'm sure they'll write about it, plus I don't want to points whore off of someone else's blog. Anyways, Happy birthday!
The last two days have been rather...well...um...special. Due to monsoon season out here in NY, our apartment has really been suffering. First of all, let me preface the whole story with Hardin is out on the road. For the past 10 days, it has done nothing but rained. I'm not talking about little inchworm rain, I am talking heaping, honking rain. Friday morning, I awoke at 6:30 to find myself swimming in lake Alison off of the port side of my bed. I had to assimulate some sort of con...
how do i get the chub story off of my site and onto the dietclub.joeuser.com blog?
Some of you by now have heard my schpeil about weight. Now it's time to officially post it on the diet blog! The chub gene is a heredity trait in my family. I have a large bone structure, and I am Irish Italian, so what do you expect? Definatley not skinny minnies. Growing up, I was always bigger in both height and weight than the other kids. When I was in the 7th grade, I started to run cross country and I lost all of my baby fat. My height also leveled off. From about 8-10th grade,...
Everyone has a story and everyone is entitled to tell theirs. Here's mine: My name is Alison and I am originally from Canton, Ohio. Many of you might have heard of Canton, afterall it is football headquarters, USA. It's a decent sized city, located in Northeast Ohio, about an hour away from Cleveland. Parts of it are filled with lavish, huge houses, while other parts are not quite as well off. I am from neither a ritzy, nor a classy background. My family is what can be considered ...
Once again, greetings JU. Sorry I've been so sparce. The reason being is so I can prepare myself for my daily lessons for guess what.....SCHOOL. Yes, that's right. I am a (whispers) teacher. Ahh! I said it...the dreaded T word. I give 110% day in and day out just in hopes that 1 child out of 340 understands one concept. Believe it or not, having just one understand something they didn't know before hand is quite a feat. I have put in my time and then some this week alone being th...
