A day in the life of an Ohioan turned New Yorker

As I woke up this morning, I had this odd gut sensation that I needed to pluck my eyebrows right then and there. I got up, walked to the bathroom, found the tweezers, and began plucking away. As many women (and some men) know, this is not a pleasurable experience. It was like I couldn't even tell I was sitting there and torturing myself. Maybe I've developed some sort of eyebrow plucking tollerance. Maybe the planets were alligned right then and there so that this would make the process go smoother. Is this possible? Nonetheless, weird...

I think the stress of day to day life is making me a little edgy.....or maybe I drink way too much coffee.

Has anyone had the surge to do something they absolutley dispise, but then realise that it's not so bad?

I do the same thing sometimes, Alison, although it usually has to do with cleaning (which I hate!).

Thursday morning I just got an overwhelming urge to scrub the kitchen. Typically I do things in bits and pieces. I'll unload the dishwasher. Then later I'll scrub the counters. Later on I'll do the dirty dishes. Etc.

Thursday, I just started attacking the kitchen in a frenzy, haha. Scrubbing the floor, the stove, scrubbing those things that go under the burners, dishes, microwave, all of it. Just going at it. I got tired before I cleaned out the fridge, but for a while I was really focused. Haha.

I wish I had skill with eyebrow plucking. I have fairly puny eyebrows anyways, so I have to be careful about plucking and shaping.

ouch...hope it didn't hurt too much. I pluck my brows regularly; It's to the point now that I don't notice the pinch of it anymore (well at least most of the time). I understand what you mean about just getting a sensation to do something. Like Tex, I get into cleaning rampages sometimes. I get crazy vacumming or mopping or cleaning up the kitchen. It's like I turn into the Energizer Bunny for a few hours.
