A day in the life of an Ohioan turned New Yorker

Lately I've been feeling rather nostalgic. I think the summertime brings this out in people. Looking back on my short life thus far, I realize that I have done some drastic growing up in my summers past. I moved for the very first time in my life during the summer of 1990. In 1992 I entered one of my most exciting, yet feared times; womanhood. During summers past I have made strong bonds and fallen in love. I had moved out of my parents house and finished my last college courses. I got engaged in the summer of 2004.

For my next few articles I have decided that I am going to dedicate them to the landmark summers of my life.

To quote Green Day
"Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends"

Yes! Ilove summer too and all it brings. The sounds of Cicadia's in the trees and ice cold watermelon and the distant sounds of lawn mowers. It is a magical time Alison! Thanks for reminding me.

Isn't it awesome? It seems like everything is hitting me all at once this summer...it's so bizzare.
