A day in the life of an Ohioan turned New Yorker
Hardin and I decided to go to the newly opened Cold Stone Creamery ice cream parlor by the grocery store. The concept behind this place is very neat. You start out with a simple flavor of ice cream, pick from an assortment of toppings, and the person behind the counter puts all of these goodies on a cold mixing stone and mixes them together to create your own signature flavor of ice cream. I decided to get cake batter flavored ice cream with snickers bars mixed in and Hardin got pistachio flavored ice cream with oreos. While this all sounds fine and dandy, the ultimate kicker was about to come.....

Our small cups of ice cream with one topping a piece mixed in cost $8.14. We joked that any Mary or Joe can take ice cream and mix oreos into it. While the ice cream was very tasty, that is way too rich for our blood. Forget Cold Stone, I'll just stick to the 2 for 4 deal at the grocery store next to it.

Ali~

I love Cold Stone! But it is really spendy. Usually Ryan and I get like a medium and share it. At the store in Fargo they sing every time someone gives them a tip.

Dairy Queen is always good, too.

All these cravings are what's making me fat, fat, fat! Bad!

hmmm...if we go back, we'll try that. What mix to you suggest?

Yeah, a blizzard from DQ is pretty darn tasty. I usually get chocolate chip cookie dough with chocolate ice cream.
