A day in the life of an Ohioan turned New Yorker
Here's to being healthy
Published on December 12, 2004 By alison watkins In Health & Medicine
Two weeks ago I decided that my Christmas gift to myself would be to quit smoking. I have smoked for about four years and have decided to call it quits for good. I have quit once before, but became a smoker again once I moved in with a heavy smoker. Now it's time to wake up and get healthy. I want to spend as much time as I can with my soon to be husband, and smoking just isn't the answer. It costs too much money and it's terrible for your health.

They say it takes 21 days to break a habit. I've been smoke free for two weeks. Let's see if I can go the distance! Wish me luck!!

Best of luck and good for you for deciding to quit after 4 years.

The longer you wait to quit, the harder it gets!

Yeah...here's to not getting lung cancer!

Another reason I'm quitting is because I'm moving to NY where ciggs are way more expensive than in Ohio...yay for more money!
