JONES BEACH!!! And I've spent the last two days there... Yesterday I went with Hardin, and since he had a gig today, I went by myself. I packed a lunch, towel, and sunblock for an afternoon of fun. I did it today! I finally went into the city all by my lonesome. The train ride took about an hour and a half and before I knew it, I was walking around the Fashion District of the largest city in the USA. Thrift shopping in NY is not the same as it is in Ohio. In Ohio you can find threads for 50 cents. In NY you can't find bargain clothes for under 50 dollars. For Lunch I ate a couple of tacos outside the Waldorf. I then putzed around central manhattan for a good three hours. I can't...
Since Hardin is away having fun and playing gigs in Seattle, I have decided I'm going to have a little fun of my own. I'm going to head into the city tomorrow (NYC). I have never been there on my own before. I'm a little nervous, but hey, I have to navigate it out sometime. I will have to write a blog about my city excursion. Let's hope I make it out of the concrete jungle alive!

In exactly one week, my boyfriend is moving to Long Island,NY to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Trumpet Performance. I'm going to head out there with him for a week of vacation and then perminatley in January. During my visit we are going to check out the city....can anyone suggest some places we should visit??
